“Why are you going to Croatia?  Isn’t that in Europe?”

Christianity arrived in Europe during the first century when Paul preached the gospel in such places as Macedonia and Italy.  Today many Europeans consider God dead or powerless, and church irrelevant.  Europe is now considered a secular, post-modern continent.  In fifteen European countries including Croatia, less than 1% of the population has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (Evangelical Missions Quarterly).

According to Greater Europe Mission, “Europe is an economic, political, and ideological powerhouse.  In measuring Christian growth over the last century, Europe’s rate was the lowest in the world.  European nations dominate the top ten in a category called ‘Least responsive megapeoples.’  They are the toughest people on earth to reach with the gospel.”

European youth struggle to find meaning in life.  Pornography, relativism, hopelessness, alcoholism, abortion, discrimination, education and unemployment are a few of the issues they face.  Nearly 20% of European youth are unemployed according to the Assembly of European Regions.  Disillusioned with traditional religion yet hungry for personal spirituality, these youth are looking for answers to life’s questions.

It is to Europe, specifically Croatia that God has called us to proclaim the gospel through a non-denominational camping ministry where youth and families can hear the Good News proclaimed and see Christ lived out 24/7.   Using sports and nature to teach Biblical truths, we seek to build genuine relationships that will make an impact for eternity.

After this I saw a great crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb.  They were clothed in white and held palm branches in their hands.  And they were shouting with a mighty shout, “Salvation comes from our God on the throne and from the Lamb!”  Revelation 7:9-19 NLT
